That one review doesn't make any sense. Birkenstocks have a hard sole and better tread than slippers; great shoes for crushing roaches and craws.

If only there were better slippers

I think a slipper with a harder sole would be better. because when weight is applied it can crush anything without flexing. You should only use hard-soled shoes when crushing cockroaches.
